Taisuke Kimura is a Japanese composer and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Los Angeles

 

His notable work includes the film "Control," which earned him a prestigious nomination for Best Original Score - Independent Film - Foreign Language category at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2023, alongside the legendary Michael Giacchino.

 

Kimura's musical journey began at the tender age of 4 when he first picked up the classical violin. As he grew, so did his passion for music, leading him to explore various instruments such as guitar, bass, drums, and violoncello. By the age of 14, he was already showcasing his talents in rock bands, adding layers of depth to his musical repertoire.

 

His music has found a home in the hearts of audiences worldwide, including placements in Disney+ "Marvel Studios: Legends" (specifically the episode "The Dora Milaje"). Kimura's compositional and arrangement skills have graced numerous films and TV shows, ranging from "Missing" (Stage 6 Films, Sony Pictures) to "Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles" (Netflix) and "Deadly Recall" (Investigation Discovery).

 

His collaborative efforts extend to major entertainment platforms such as Disney, Netflix, Discovery Channel, TLC, Investigation Discovery, and Vice Media, showcasing his versatility and adaptability in the industry.

 

Among his achievements is the critically acclaimed film "The Spirit Room," which garnered an impressive 9 awards and 4 nominations at renowned festivals like the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival, Studio City Film Festival, Silicon Beach Film Festival, and FANtastic Horror Film Festival. The film has graced prestigious venues including Warner Brothers and Raleigh Studios.

 

Taisuke honed his craft further by studying Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he had the invaluable opportunity to work closely with Grammy and Emmy-winning Film Composer, Claudio Ragazzi.
